Dedicated to the original artist of folk decorative painting - Maria Oksentyevna Primachenko, whose work is one of the unique phenomena in world art. Her work played an important role in the development of folk decorative art in Ukraine, and the “animal series” became an exceptional phenomenon that had no analogues in world art.
On the obverse of the coin there is a vertical composition: at the top - the small State Emblem of Ukraine, under which is the inscription - NATIONAL BANK/ OF UKRAINE, a stylized work by Maria Prymachenko from 1983 "Space Horse...", under which is the denomination and year of minting of the coin: 5 HRYVEN/20 .
The reverse of the coin depicts a portrait of Maria Prymachenko against the background of her 1991 work Ukrainian Sunflower, above which there is an inscription in a semicircle MARIA PRIMACHENKO, on the left vertically the years of life 1908 - 1997.
