The commemorative coin is dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the Ukrainian philosopher, poet, teacher, pupil of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy - Hryhoriy Savich Skovoroda. Hryhoriy Skovoroda is one of the brightest figures in Ukrainian philosophy and literature. Reaching in his thoughts vital, existentially weighty problems of human existence, he is still relevant today - as a person, a thinker, a writer. An organic combination of personal and social motives is the most characteristic feature of Hryhoriy Skovoroda's poetry. The collection of poems "The Garden of Divine Songs" is his kind of lyrical diary, in which life events, moral and philosophical reflections on the meaning of life, true happiness, kindness, honesty, etc. were reflected. The collection contains 30 songs.

The obverse of the coin features: at the bottom – a small State Coat of Arms of Ukraine, to the left of which are the inscriptions: UKRAINE and the coin minting year 2022; on the right - denomination of 20 and the graphic symbol of the hryvnia; the main composition of the obverse is a symbolic stylized fountain, which is an allegory of God, which fills various vessels with water, metaphors of man and the human soul. On the one hand, they are all different sizes, so they are not equal. On the other hand, they are all filled, therefore equal. Each vessel has a different volume, but receives enough water to fill it (a plastic embodiment of the graphic drawing by H. Skovoroda "Equality is not equal to all..."). Above the life-giving fountain, heavenly trees “sprout” (an element of decoration is local gilding), forming a garden of divine songs, around which lines from the collection “The Garden of Divine Songs” “spread”: EVERY CITY HAS CUSTOMS AND RIGHTS, EACH KEEPING ITS OWN MIND; EVERY HEART HAS LOVE AND WARMTH, EVERY THROAT HAS FOUND ITS TASTE. I AM CAPTIVATED WITH OBSESSIVE THOUGHTS: ONLY ONE THING IS DISTURBING MY MIND... I KNOW THAT DEATH IS AS WILD AS A SCAPE, IT WILL NOT OVERRIDE EVEN THE KING. IT DOESN'T CARE ABOUT DEATH, WHETHER IT IS A MAN OR A KING, IT WILL CONSUME EVERYTHING AS A FIRE DESTROYES STRAW. WHO WOULD DESPISE HER TERRIBLE STEEL? ONE WHO HAS A CONSCIENCE AS CLEAR CRYSTAL...; above the inscription - GARDEN OF DIVINE SONGS.

The reverse of the coin depicts a metaphorical artistic composition: under a cherry tree - a young man playing a pipe, next to it - an open book (the symbolic world of H. Skovoroda); inscriptions on both sides of the young man: on the left - 300 YEARS, GRIGORY (vertically), on the right - SKOVORODA (vertically); around - mirrored symbolic figures trying to catch the philosopher, and the inscription in a semicircle - THE WORLD CAUGHT ME, AND DIDN'T CATCH ME :) (above).
