Dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the birth of Lesya Ukrainka (Larysa Petrovna Kosach), an outstanding Ukrainian poetess and public figure.
On obverse coins, in the center of the circle formed by the necklace, there is an image of the small State Emblem of Ukraine framed on both sides by viburnum branches. Above the coat of arms is the date 1996 – the year the coin was minted. Around the coin there are inscriptions: at the top NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE, 1,000,000 KRASHENTSEV. Under the branches of the viburnum are the designation and purity of the precious metal Ag 925 and its purity weight 15.55
On reverse The coin depicts a portrait of Lesya Ukrainka, with inscriptions placed around the circle: on the left is LESYA UKRAINKA, on the right is 1871-1913 - the years of birth and death of the poetess
