The obverse of the coin has a mirror background and is conventionally divided vertically into three parts. On the middle part with a mirror background, there is a composition of a stylized color image of a fragment of Petrykivka painting (pad printing is used), which is drawn by the artist’s hand with a brush. On the left side of the obverse at the top there is an image of the small State Emblem of Ukraine. Below is the inscription rotated vertically - “UKRAINE” (UKRAINE). At the bottom, at the beginning of the inscription, the year of minting of the coin is indicated - “2016”. On the right side of the obverse with a mirror background, the denomination of the coin is indicated, wh ere the denomination figure is located horizontally - the name of the coin is rotated vertically - “10 HRYVEN” (10 HRYVEN).
The reverse of the coin is also made with a mirror background and has a thematic design. The middle part of the reverse is framed by an image of Petrykivka painting on a mirror background. Inside the frame is an image of a woman artist with a flower in her hand. On the left side along the outer edge, in a semicircle, there is an inscription - “PETRIKIVSKAYA PAINTING” (PETRIKIVSKY PARIS).
