The obverse of the coin has a mirror background and is conventionally divided vertically into three parts. On the middle part with a mirror background, there is a composition of a stylized color image of a fragment of Petrykivka painting (pad printing is used), which is drawn by the artist’s hand with a brush. On the left side of the obverse at the top there is an image of the small State Emblem of Ukraine. Below is the inscription rotated vertically - “UKRAINE” (UKRAINE).
