Dedicated to Theodosius of Pechersk, a church leader, one of the founders of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra, its abbot (year of birth unknown - 1074). Under Abbot Feodosius, the Kiev-Pechersk Monastery achieved growth and turned into a populous monastery with temple buildings; the Studite Charter was adopted.
The obverse of the coin is decorated with a matte background on which a thematic composition is placed. On the upper right side of the obverse is a stylized image of a temple. Below the temple there is a three-line horizontal inscription - “THEODOSIUS / PECHERSKY / XI CENTURY.” (FEODOSIY / PECHERSKY / XI CENTURY). On the right side of the obverse is the image of the iconographic image of Theodosius of Pechersk, who holds a scroll with the inscriptions - “LORD, / IN THE NAME / OF THE HOLY / MOTHEROCY, / THY MOTHER, / THIS TEMPLE WAS BUILT” (LORD, / IN THE NAME / OF THE HOLY / VIRGIN, / THY MOTHER, / ZVEVENIY BUV / TEMPLE TSEI). Above the head of the abbot there is a halo with local gilding. The finishing element is made using patination technology, with a root of at least 0.0001 g.
The reverse of the coin also has a matte background. The middle and lower part of which is filled with a stylized image of the Kyiv hills with a chapel on them. In the foreground of the composition is an image of a cave with a monk kneeling in a prayer position. Above the composition, on the left at the upper outer edge, there is an image of the small State Emblem of Ukraine. To the right of the coat of arms is the inscription in a stylized font - “UKRAINE” (UKRAINE). Below the coat of arms is a one-line horizontal inscription in a stylized font of the coin's denomination - “10 HRYVEN” (10 HRYVEN). On the right side of the chapel the year of minting of the coin is indicated - “2016”.
