The obverse of the coin with a mirror background is designed in an original style. In the center of the coin there is a field in the form of a concave mirror surface against the background of which, framed by a stylized laurel wreath, there is an image of the seal imprint of Bohdan Khmelnytsky. Between the seal and the frame, in the upper part, there is an inscription in a semicircle - “UKRAINE” (UKRAINE). Below, the inscription in a semicircle of the denomination of the coin in words is “TEN HRYVNI” (TEN HRYVNI). To the left of the seal is an image of the small State Emblem of Ukraine. Below the coat of arms is the year of issue of the coin - “2015”.
