The obverse of the coin with a mirror background is designed in an original style. In the center of the coin there is a field in the form of a concave mirror surface against the background of which, framed by a stylized laurel wreath, there is an image of the seal imprint of Bohdan Khmelnytsky. Between the seal and the frame, in the upper part, there is an inscription in a semicircle - “UKRAINE” (UKRAINE). Below, the inscription in a semicircle of the denomination of the coin in words is “TEN HRYVNI” (TEN HRYVNI). To the left of the seal is an image of the small State Emblem of Ukraine.
