Dedicated to the Grand Duke of Kyiv, a statesman, during whose reign the formation of the Old Russian state was completed and Christianity was introduced as the state religion.

On the obverse side of the coin, framed by an ancient Russian ornament, there is a small State Coat of Arms of Ukraine and a stylized inscription: 2000, UKRAINE, 10, HRYVEN, as well as assay - 925, weight - 31.1 and the logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine

On the reverse of the coin, in the foreground, there is an image of Prince Volodymyr against the background of an annalistic depiction of the baptism scene of the prince himself and stylized inscriptions: 978, VOLODYMIR (above), PRINCE UKRAINE (below).
