This circulating commemorative coin from the «We Are Strong. We Are United» series is dedicated to Donetsk Oblast, an integral part of Ukraine whose status is enshrined in the Constitution of Ukraine. The National Bank launched the series in December 2025 to affirm the country’s unity and the inviolability of its territorial integrity, with coins issued for every region of Ukraine. The central element of the reverse is a stylised map of Ukraine with clearly defined administrative borders, the featured region picked out against a matte background. The obverse matches the standard 2018-type 10-hryvnia circulating coin: the Small Coat of Arms above and, at the centre within an Old Rus ornament, the legends УКРАЇНА / 10 / ГРИВЕНЬ, the year 2025 and the NBU mint mark. Two million pieces were released into circulation, part of the mintage packed into souvenir rolls of 25 coins. This particular item is a colourised variant: the colour is applied over the struck coin and is not part of the standard NBU issue.
