Dedicated to an important sporting event - the Final Tournament of the 2012 European Football Championship, some of the final games of which will take place in Lviv. The coin is an official licensed product of UEFA EURO 2012™.
On the obverse of the coin there is: the small State Emblem of Ukraine, the inscription in a semicircle NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE (above), against the background of a map of Ukraine with the inscription LVIV - an image of the EURO 2012 logo, under which there are the inscriptions: UEFA/EURO 2012™/POLAND-UKRAINE – 2011, the Monetny logo courtyard of the National Bank of Ukraine and in a semicircle the denomination is FIVE HRYVNINA.
On the reverse of the coin, against the backdrop of a stylized panorama of the city, there is a dynamic figure of a football player with a ball (left), a stylized image of the Lviv Arena stadium (right), at the top is the coat of arms of Lviv, at the bottom is the inscription FINAL TOURNAMENT1/.
