The reverse shows the white-headed duck with its Turkish name, Dik Kuyruk, and the inscription ANADOLU’YA ÖZGÜ KUŞLAR, birds characteristic of Anatolia: this is one of the 15 coins of 1 kuruş issued by the Turkish State Mint in 2018.

Darphane put the coins on sale on 27 December 2018 and sold 4,000 of each within the country; as early as 2 January 2019 the issue was withdrawn from sale because stocks had run out.

The coin fills the White-headed duck slot in the 15-bird series and suits a bird-themed collection. Uncirculated (UNC) condition means the coin has never been in circulation: there is no wear and the original mint lustre is intact.

VPcoins brings coins and banknotes from all over the world together in one catalogue.
