Notes of this design were printed in 1965–1985. This design has been invalid since 31 December 1998: it cannot be used for payment and banks will not redeem it, though the Riksbank itself redeems any old Swedish banknote for a fee.
The obverse shows a portrait of Gustav II Adolf in profile. The reverse shows an engraving of the warship Wasa. A banknote of the Riksbank, the central bank of Sweden and the oldest in the world: it has been in operation since 1668. Watermark: a sequence of portraits of Axel Oxenstierna in profile in the unprinted part, with a vertical security thread.
Swedish kronor are collected by printing, by year and by signature — two officials sign for the Riksbank, and the pairing tells one batch from another. UNC condition means the note has never circulated: no folds, no wear, no soiling, even corners — just as it left the press.
