The hundred baisa of 2020 open Oman's sixth series with a mountain view: the front shows the green terraces of Jebel Akhdar, the Green Mountain, and the back coconut palms and a falaj, the traditional irrigation channel.
The note belongs to Oman's sixth series, dated 1441 in the Hijri calendar (2020): the issue began in the summer of 2020 with the 50 rials, and on 11 January 2021 the remaining values, from 100 baisa to 20 rials, entered circulation. The 5, 10 and 20 rials bear the portrait of the new sultan, Haitham bin Tariq, while the fronts of the lower values carry the arms of Oman.
For an Oman collection this is the opening value of the first series of Sultan Haitham's era, and paired with the 1995 hundred baisa, which also shows the irrigation system, it shows the subject carried into a new era. UNC condition means the note has never circulated: no folds, no wear, no soiling, even corners — just as it left the press.
