A 5 euro coin issued in 2019 in Portugal as a commemorative coin from the “Endangered Fauna Species” series. It is dedicated to the Iberian wolf — one of the most vulnerable predators in Europe.
On the obverse is depicted a she-wolf with two cubs.
On the reverse is shown the head of an adult Iberian wolf with the inscriptions “LOBO-IBÉRICO” and “CANIS LUPUS”.
