France 2 euro 2026 The Little Prince

In 2026, the Paris Mint issues a commemorative 2 euro coin dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the first publication of «The Little Prince» in France.

On the obverse — a pensive Little Prince, surrounded by stars, the number «80», and his tiny planet. The inscription «Le Petit Prince» and «RF» emphasize the French origin of this universally beloved story.

On the reverse — the standard map of Europe for all 2 euro coins, with the inscription «2 EURO» and 12 stars, as on regular circulating coins.

The coin is supplied in a stylish official blister/coin card with a colored illustration (The Little Prince running across the desert, or on an airplane among the stars — depending on the variant), making it an excellent gift or addition to any collection. The simple yet deeply touching composition conveys the main idea of the tale — to see the world with the heart. A perfect choice for everyone who fell in love with this wise story in childhood or as an adult.

Collectors who focus on a single country will find its other issues in the VPcoins catalogue as well.
