Sagittarius is the ninth sign of the zodiac and one of the fire signs, which is why the centaur archer on this five-euro coin (KM# 3484) is surrounded by flames, set against his constellation and the zodiac wheel. The coin belongs to the Monnaie de Paris «Astros» collection: twelve bimetallic €5 pieces, one for each sign.

The collection opened with coins dated 2025, limited to 25,000 per sign. It was conceived to be reissued over several years, and the 2026 date is its second edition, now with a mintage of 50,000 per sign. All twelve designs are by Joaquin Jimenez, Chief Engraver of the Monnaie de Paris.

The centre is cupronickel with nickel cladding and the ring is nickel brass, so a golden ring frames a pale core. Each coin of the series is issued individually in its own card folder.

Uncirculated (UNC): the coin has never been in circulation.
