Aries opens the zodiac circle, and on this 2026 5 euro coin it appears as the bust of a ram with majestic horns and a serene expression.

Aries is a fire sign: tongues of flame hide part of the zodiac wheel engraved on the coin’s gold-coloured ring. Within the wheel the Aries symbol is larger than the others and set on a matt sandblasted background, and behind the ram the Aries constellation is traced in a starry sky.

The «Astro» collection was designed by Monnaie de Paris general engraver Joaquin Jimenez. Its signs are reissued every year, and in 2026 each was struck in 50 000 pieces, twice as many as in 2025. The coin comes in its original card.

Grade UNC: not a trace of circulation, with relief and ring unworn. Aries is a natural place to start an album of zodiac signs, as it comes first in the circle.

A themed selection that includes this coin is easy to expand with other items from the VPcoins catalogue.
