Two figures woven into one, a man and a woman: this is how the Monnaie de Paris depicted Gemini on the 2026 5 euro coin of the «Astro» collection. Behind them are the sun and a quarter moon, and the Gemini constellation emerges in the starry sky.

Gemini is an air sign, and the artist conveyed this with swirls of mist that cover part of the zodiac wheel on the gold-coloured ring. Within the wheel the Gemini symbol is larger than the others and given a matt sandblasted texture, so the eye finds it at once.

The collection was created by the Monnaie de Paris general engraver Joaquin Jimenez and is reissued every year with a new date. Each sign dated 2026 has a mintage of 50 000, twice that of the collection’s first year. The coin is housed in the issuer’s branded card.

Grade UNC: no traces of circulation, the relief is intact. For a date run of the sign it is the second date of the «Astro» collection, and as a gift it is a dated coin for anyone born under Gemini.
