A commemorative coin with a face value of 2 euros, dated 2022. Subject of the issue: Climate research in Finland.

The obverse bears the inscription «2022 FI ILMASTOTUTKIMUS KLIMATFORSIKNING», the reverse — «2 EURO».

The coin was struck by the Mint of Finland (Suomen Rahapaja): in Helsinki until 1988 and in Vantaa since then.

Finland is one of the founding members of the euro area and the only Nordic country to join it from the outset: euro cash was introduced on 1 January 2002 at the rate of 5.94573 markkaa to the euro.
