In the UAE, 2018 was the Year of Zayed, marking the centenary of the birth of the nation’s founder, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and the Central Bank celebrated it with a commemorative hundred.
The front is almost identical to the regular hundred with Al Fahidi Fort in Dubai, except for the Year of Zayed logo added above the fort.
The main difference is the reverse: instead of the Dubai World Trade Centre found on regular notes, it shows a falcon and Abu Dhabi’s innovatively designed Sheikh Zayed Bridge.
For a UAE collection this is the commemorative hundred for the centenary of the nation’s founder, and for a collection of bridges on banknotes it offers the Sheikh Zayed Bridge, which replaced the usual reverse design. UNC condition means the note has never circulated: no folds, no wear, no soiling, even corners — just as it left the press.
