Sixty dollars is a denomination Namibia has in no other issue: two transparent windows, silver with gold and a serial number beginning «HGG» make it the most distinctive note in the country.
The face carries Geingob's portrait in a transparent window; the back shows the Independence Memorial Museum in a second transparent window. The most interesting security features are coloured intaglio print, Argentum silver ink and gold accents; micro text reading «Forward Ever, Backward Never, 60»; and raised tactile dots.
A commemorative polymer note of the Bank of Namibia in memory of former president Dr Hage G. Geingob: the bank unveiled it on 5 March 2025 and issued it on 17 March. It circulates alongside ordinary money — the bank calls it both legal tender and a collector's item. UNC condition means the note has never circulated: no folds, no wear, no soiling, even corners — just as it left the press.
If you are just starting a collection, the VPcoins catalogue makes it easy to find banknotes to build it around.
