The five dollars of 2020 is the five-dollar note of the CRISP Evolution series, the family that won the regional «Best New Series» award in 2022. The front carries the portrait of Sir Cecil Wallace-Whitfield, the same figure as on the five of the previous CRISP series.
The back continues the carnival theme: here is a Junkanoo cowbeller in full costume, the work of the Bahamian artist Delton Barrett. The bank names the artist directly in its official description of the note.
Paired with the five of the CRISP series, the note shows how one national festival moved from a scene of dancers to the portrait of a single costumed participant, a ready story for a set on the carnivals of the world. UNC condition means the note has never circulated: no folds, no wear, no soiling, even corners — just as it left the press.
Collectors who focus on a single country will find its other banknote issues in the VPcoins catalogue as well.
