Twenty pa'anga is the top denomination of the mid-1990s series, and its back is devoted to money in the most literal sense: it shows a bank building. The front, like every note of the series, carries King Taufa'ahau Tupou IV and the coat of arms.
The National Reserve Bank of Tonga introduced this undated series in 1995, and the front of every denomination carries the portrait of King Taufa'ahau Tupou IV and the coat of arms. It was succeeded by the notes the bank issued on 21 January 2009, on which the late king's portrait gave way to that of George Tupou V.
The top denomination of the 1995 series completes the 1–20 pa'anga run with Tupou IV's portrait, and its bank building also makes it a piece for a «banks on banknotes» set. UNC condition means the note has never circulated: no folds, no wear, no soiling, even corners — just as it left the press.
You can find companions for this banknote, by series or by year of issue, in the VPcoins catalogue.
