This hundred is Bhutan's gift for the heir's first birthday: the Royal Monetary Authority issued it for the first anniversary of the birth of His Royal Highness the Gyalsey, Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck. The date on the note is 5 February 2016, the day the prince was born.
Gyalsey is the title of the Prince of Bhutan. Bhutan marked his birth itself in 2016 with a commemorative thousand ngultrum bearing the prefix W, the sign of the Wangchuck dynasty's reign, and the anniversary with this hundred.
Two commemorative notes for the heir's birth, the 2016 thousand and this hundred, form a matching pair for a Bhutan collection and for a «royal events on banknotes» set. UNC condition means the note has never circulated: no folds, no wear, no soiling, even corners — just as it left the press.
Every item in the VPcoins catalogue tells a small story about its country and era.
