A note of the Next Generation Banknote series, the current series of the Reserve Bank of Australia. This denomination was released into general circulation on 9 October 2019. Every denomination in the series has its own wattle and its own bird: here they are the Box-leaf Wattle (Acacia buxifolia) and the Laughing Kookaburra (Dacelo novaeguineae).
The face shows Mary Reibey. The back shows John Flynn. The most interesting security features are a clear top-to-bottom window holding several security features at once, tilt the banknote and a three-dimensional compass with colourful lines appears and tilt the banknote and the Kookaburra moves its wings and changes colour.
The Australian run suits a collection because it shows a whole transition: paper, the world's first complete polymer issue, and the current series in which every denomination has its own bird and its own wattle. UNC condition means the note has never circulated: no folds, no wear, no soiling, even corners — just as it left the press.
Other banknotes from the VPcoins catalogue will help you continue a series or start a new collection.
