The note belongs to the series begun with the 2006 issue: Bhutan's first notes were all the same size, whereas in the 2006 series each denomination has its own size, colour and design. The year on the note is 2011. The substrate is 100% cotton.
The face shows two dragons in the centre, the portrait of the First King, Ugyen Wangchuck, wearing the Raven Crown on the right and a watermark portrait of the Fourth King on the left. Along the top runs the bank's name in Dzongkha. The back shows Punakha Dzong, with the bank's name in English, «Royal Monetary Authority of Bhutan», along the top.
A note of the Royal Monetary Authority of Bhutan (RMA), the country's central bank, established in 1982 and at work since 1983. The most interesting security features are a watermark along the top and bottom borders showing part of the words «Royal Monetary Authority»; raised intaglio printing — the bank's name in Dzongkha and English, the value in both languages, the guarantee clause and the RMA chairman's signature; and yellow fibres visible only under ultraviolet light.
UNC condition means the note has never circulated: no folds, no wear, no soiling, even corners — just as it left the press.
