A coin of gratitude to those who stood between people and the pandemic: the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan dedicated the 1 som of 2021 «Thank you for life!» to doctors, members of other professions and volunteers who fought COVID-19 at risk to their own lives. It was released on 1 December 2021 in the series «Historical events».

One side shows members of various professions and a volunteer, with symbols of dew and the rising sun, and bilingual legends «ӨМҮР САКЧЫЛАРЫНА ТААЗИМ!» («A bow to the guardians of life!») and «СПАСИБО ЗА ЖИЗНЬ!». The other side has a stylised tree formed by people standing close together as a symbol of unity, the coat of arms in the centre and the circular legend «КЫРГЫЗ РЕСПУБЛИКАСЫНЫН УЛУТТУК БАНКЫ • НАЦИОНАЛЬНЫЙ БАНК КЫРГЫЗСКОЙ РЕСПУБЛИКИ».

The bank placed the coin in its historical events series, and in a collection it becomes a document of its time; its subject is especially fitting for a selection on medicine on coins. UNC condition: never circulated, no signs of wear, mint lustre retained.

The VPcoins online shop was created for collectors of coins and banknotes who value a wide choice.
