A commemorative coin in nickel silver struck to special uncirculated quality. It marks the centenary of the completion of the building of the House of the Poet, Maximilian Voloshin.

The obverse has a mirror ground and is filled by a rich composition in which the centre of the coin is occupied by the House of the Poet; beside the building are the silhouettes of a group of people embodying the hospitality of spirit of its master, and to the right of the building is the year of issue, 2013. At the top of the obverse, by the rim, is the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine, flanked by the semicircular legend НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ ⌂ БАНК УКРАЇНИ. Below the House of the Poet runs the single-line horizontal legend in a handwritten script БУДИНОК ПОЕТА М. ВОЛОШИНА, and beneath the legend is the mark of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine. Along the lower rim of the obverse runs the semicircular denomination in words, П’ЯТЬ ГРИВЕНЬ.

The reverse is designed with a combined ground, the middle part matt and the upper and lower parts mirror. On the matt ground, by the left rim, is the silhouette of the artist at his easel against a seascape; above and to the right of the easel are lines from a poem by Voloshin which reveal the essence of his work both as poet and as painter, ДВЕРІ ВІДЧИНЕНІ. / ПЕРЕСТУПИ ПОРІГ. / МІЙ ДІМ / ВІДЧИНЕНО / НАЗУСТРІЧ / ВСІХ ДОРІГ… On the lower mirror ground is the single-line legend in stylised script ДО 100 – РІЧЧЯ.
