The commemorative coin from cupronickel was made with the quality of proof-like minting, dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the founding of the Uman Dendrological Park - Sofiyivka Nature Reserve of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
On the obverse of the coin, in the center of the circle formed by a dotted line, there is an image of the small State Emblem of Ukraine framed by viburnum branches. Above the coat of arms there is an inscription - “1996” - the year of coinage. Around the coin there are inscriptions: at the top - “UKRAINE” (UKRAINE), at the bottom in two lines the denomination is “2 HRYVNYA” (2 HRYVNI). The inscriptions are separated from each other by single stylized pattern elements.
On the reverse of the coin, on the left side of the field, there is a fragment of the so-called Lefkad rock - a huge granite block, on its edge a male profile can be discerned - according to legend, this is the profile of the founder of the park, Count Felix Potocki. At the top there is the Belvedere observation deck. Against the background of the rock itself and to the right of it, there is a stylized image of branches with leaves. Along the perimeter of the coin there is an inscription in a semicircle: in the upper part in one line, - “SOFIIVKA” (SOFIIVKA) - “200 YEARS” (200 ROKIV), in the lower part of the obverse there is an inscription, - “UKRAINIAN DENDROLOGICAL PARK” (UKRAINIAN DENDROLOGICAL PARK). The upper and lower inscriptions are separated by stylized Roman-style design elements.
