«Libertador Simón Bolívar» reads the caption under the portrait on the 5 bolivianos of the Central Bank of Bolivia. The date on the note is the law of 20 December 1945, under which the bank issued a whole range of denominations, from this five up to the 500 bolivianos with Germán Busch.
This is still the first boliviano, which the peso boliviano replaced in 1963 at a thousand to one.
A low denomination of the 1945 series with the Liberator: in a Bolivia collection, a position of the 1945-law series; in a «Simón Bolívar on banknotes» theme, the Bolivian version of his portrait. AU-UNC condition sits at the edge of uncirculated: there are virtually no signs of circulation, at most one light fold or a faint counting mark.
The VPcoins catalogue includes both modern polymer issues and banknotes of past eras.
