The country's monetary unit is the convertible mark, divided into a hundred fenings. Five denominations circulate: 10, 20, 50, 100 and 200 marks. The 10, 20, 50 and 100 marks are printed in two versions of design — one for the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and one for Republika Srpska — while the 200 marks is printed in a single design for the whole country. The year of issue is on the front below the word «GUVERNER» in the lower left corner; the notes of the first series of 1998 carry no year of issue at all. The bank put this issue into circulation on 1 June 2012. This issue remains legal tender in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The bank holds the official rate fixed: one convertible mark is 0.511292 euro, that is, one euro amounts to 1.955830 marks.
The obverse shows the portrait of the poet Aleksa Šantić. The reverse shows a loaf of bread. A banknote of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Centralna banka Bosne i Hercegovine).
The convertible mark is collected by denomination, by version of design — Federation and Republika Srpska — and by year of issue. UNC condition means the note has never circulated: no folds, no wear, no soiling, even corners — just as it left the press.
The VPcoins catalogue unites coins and banknotes from many countries and eras.
