The hundred baisa of 1995 join Oman's ancient and living heritage: the front shows a falaj, the traditional irrigation system, and the back a Verreaux's eagle and a white oryx.
The 1995 series (1416 in the Hijri calendar) kept the portrait of Sultan Qaboos on the right of the front and in the watermark, while the arms of Oman moved to the upper left corner. In the summer of 2024 the Central Bank of Oman announced the withdrawal of the 1995 notes, the 100 and 200 baisa, the half rial and the rial, which could be exchanged until the end of 2024.
For an Oman collection the note opens the 1995 series, and in a thematic set on Arabian fauna it adds a bird of prey and an oryx on a single note. UNC condition means the note has never circulated: no folds, no wear, no soiling, even corners — just as it left the press.
